I happily welcome you to the Assisted Housing Division home page. Here you will find information on the County’s Housing Choice Voucher Program “Section 8.”
We are proud to assist almost 21,000 families through a partnership with over 10,000 property owners. 480 families participate in the Family Self Sufficiency Program and an additional 70 have successfully graduated in the last two years, thus moving closer to achieving economic independence!
We are linked to the first affordable housing website, Los Angeles County Housing Resource Center, which provides an up-to-date listing of available rental units throughout the County and beyond. So, don’t forget to visit this website.
I also invite you to read our quarterly newsletters, “Tenant Talk” and “House Notes,” which provide important information for tenants and property owners, respectively.
A new online wait list registration system, a telephone call and message tracking system, online housing quality standards inspections system, and our web pages, are ways in which we are using technology to be more efficient and ultimately improve the services we provide to you.
