MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Carlos Jackson
Welcome to the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission's (CDC) new and improved website. I hope that you find the website to be a useful tool in learning more about the CDC's various programs and our efforts to build better lives and better neighborhoods for low- and moderate-income individuals in Los Angeles County. The CDC has four main program areas in addition to a number of other special programs. The four program areas are:
o Housing Assistance;
o Community Development;
o Housing Development and Preservation; and
o Economic Redevelopment.
Serving as the County's Housing Authority, the CDC administers both the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing programs for the County. In addition, the CDC is also the County's community development agency, administering the largest Urban County Community Development Block Grant program in the nation. Our Housing Development and Preservation division offers a number of first-time homebuyer and housing rehabilitation programs, and financing for the development of affordable and special needs housing. Lastly, our Economic Redevelopment Division administers four redevelopment areas throughout the County in addition to a number of other programs including business loan and business incubator programs.
Please click on the tabs to the left for additional information about our organization, programs, current job openings, and vendor opportunities.
