THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA)

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), better known as the second economic stimulus bill, was signed into law by President Barack Obama on February 17^th, 2009.  ARRA makes over $16 billion dollars available to public housing organizations such as the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles (CDC) and the Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles (HACoLA), by increasing funding for existing programs as well as making funding available for newer services.  (more…)
